Oh geez, it’s been way too long. I’m breaking my own cardinal blogging rules – gah! But new clients are keeping me busy – what can I say? It’s only been a few months, but I’m excited to share some of the results we’re already getting over at Tahoe Trail Bar.
first things first
An immediate goal was to increase the newsletter subscriber list. An obvious first fix was the calls to action. They were, to be blunt, kind of dry and boring. There was no well-developed landing page – just a form with no enticing copy to make you feel like you had to sign up for fear of missing out on something wonderful. So I wrote up a few different CTAs and some copy for the existing landing page, and we added a static CTA that would accompany every blog post going forward. The result? I’m so glad you asked.
Click-throughs doubled after the new CTAs went live. That’s good stuff. And the feedback has been positive:
“You’re doing a great job, Jessica! I’m very happy with the work and your responsiveness and professionalism.”
About the first blog post:
I like the mix of humor, linking back to other articles, scientific facts without being preachy or dry. It’s damn good.”
We’re working on a guest blog opportunity with my client Lakeshore Paddleboard Company, and I’m focusing on the TTB blog posts as well. We have a two-tiered plan of attack – specific keywords to grab those folks actually searching for energy bars, and a more general approach to those checking out Tahoe. We’ll reel them in with interesting info and hope they stick around for a bit.
Stay tuned to see how that pans out – I have a feeling it’s going to be good.
