THE PROJECT
When an old high school friend took over Reno’s favorite Italian restaurant, I’m humbled to say she thought of me. Nicki Shea had big ideas for a delicate rebranding at La Famiglia – all she needed was some direction for making it all happen. When the restaurant ownership changed hands again last year, I stayed onboard to manage online visibility.
THE APPROACH
The food is killer, and La Famiglia is one of those open secrets in town. Nicki needed a new logo and an updated online presence to showcase her restaurant and reach a wider demographic . The existing site was dated in content and design, and social media was haphazard at best. In quick order, we finalized the new logo, found the perfect theme, wrestled control over largely-ignored social media, and organized a photo shoot to show off all that incredible food. These days, I continue to maintain the blog and social media accounts.
THE UPSHOT
Bringing La Famiglia’s brand and digital presence up to speed was really just a matter of lining up all the right people, from the graphic designer to the programmer to the photographer. While Nicki was busy running her restaurant, I organized a bunch of amazing professionals to get things rolling. Now, the restaurant has a website that makes people excited to make reservations (because you know you need those!), a social media presence that’s actually benefiting the business, and a logo and business cards the owner is proud to share. Plus, with some strategic blogging, we’re making steady progress in growing the site’s visibility.
“I hired Jessica because I wanted someone I could trust and count on to help me grow La Famiglia Ristorante Italiano’s online presence,” says Nicki. She’s “been great to work with. She pushes me to get items completed, which I need. She responds in a timely matter to action items … and anything else I really ask of her.”
